Art in public places can have a profound influence on individual and community well-being, crime prevention, and the mitigation of anti-social behaviour. By exploring expert perspectives, the session aims to shed light on the transformative potential of art installations and their ability to foster a sense of belonging, create safe environments, and build stronger communities.

Drawing on evidence-based research, they will highlight the potential for art installations to promote healing, spark creativity, and provide spaces for self-reflection and contemplation. By bringing together a diverse group of experts and practitioners, this panel session aims to inspire attendees to recognize and harness the tremendous impact that art in public places can have on well-being, crime prevention, and anti-social behaviour reduction, fostering a sense of community, and ultimately transforming lives.
