Centre of Gravity Soapworks, Bristol - First Base

A month-long exhibition in the Soapworks building with local art collective Centre of Gravity provided a showcase for 60 artists and was curated as a mix of inspiring contemporary art, film talks and performance.

Activation Winner 2021

The Bird Box, Bromsgrove - Bromsgrove District Council and North Worcestershire Economic Development and Regeneration (NWeDR) with ONE Creative Environments

The Bird Box transformed an unattractive site in Bromsgrove town centre with creative seating, a stage and open areas. It has been a lifeline to local businesses in providing socially-distanced space for small retail outlets and outdoor eateries to serve customers during pandemic restrictions.

Sayer Street & Meadow, Southwark - Lendlease with Michael Grubb Studio

The Meadow is a playable landscape that links to Sayer Street, a contemporary reinterpretation of a modern high street. The result is a playful linear folly offering creative places to meet, work and browse in a biodiverse landscape.

Mayfield, Manchester - The Mayfield Partnership

An historic depot building has been reimagined as a cultural destination with a food market, bars, cultural spaces and more, including the depot itself providing a covered space for 700 visitors. In addition to restaurants, there are also free performances for all to enjoy.

Box on the Docks, Salford - Peel Media Ltd

In June 2020, within two months of the idea being conceived, MediaCityUK delivered 30 sheds and greenhouses transformed by local artists as dining pods for their restaurants as well as an immersive children’s art trail to rebuild visitor confidence and safely drive footfall.

Beckenham Place Mansion, Lewisham - Copeland

This Grade II* listed Georgian building requiring significant investment had, for decades, been a private golf clubhouse now reinvited as an artistic and community hub including 8 resident solo artists, a sewing school and a multi-use space for yoga, dance, youth theatre and more.
