Redevelopment plans for Dewsbury Market on Cloth Hall Street in the town centre. BDP’s architects, engineers, landscape architects, and planners worked with Kirklees Council to design and create a vibrant, inclusive, social space where people can expect value for money and the best possible shopping experience. There are two major elements to this project: the Edwardian Market Hall and the outdoor market.

Feering is an historic village in Essex, characterised by its rural charm, strong community ties, and proximity to key transport links including the A12 and Kelvedon railway station. The village is experiencing growth, with new housing developments planned to support local demand. The future public realm proposal sits at the heart of this evolving neighbourhood, aiming to create a vibrant, inclusive space that connects new and existing communities.

The Holbeck Viaduct Project in Leeds proposes the transformation of a 1.6 km disused Victorian rail viaduct, repurposing a local historic landmark into a dynamic, elevated linear park. It will forge sustainable connections between Leeds city centre rail station and Leeds United Football Club, while linking historically deprived communities to the expanding South Bank. The project will provide green infrastructure, versatile spaces for recreation, cultural events, and community activities.

The Art Park, located in the upcoming Stopford Park development, is Stockport’s newest creative playground. It is an adaptable public space open, which introduces permanent and temporary installations, playful interventions, totemic artworks visible from the street, landscape-embedded pieces, and interactive features such as painted surfaces and sensory routes.

Emma Cons Gardens is a well-connected but underused public space at the heart of Waterloo, close to Waterloo Station, the South Bank, and The old Vic. The proposals aim to create an inclusive, green environment that celebrates the legacy of Emma Cons by telling the stories of her life through the design. Her story is told explicitly through signage and surface detailing, and expressed atmospherically and symbolically through public art, the arrangement of the space and materials.
