Horatio’s Garden Sheffield & East transforms a former hospital car park into an accessible, therapeutic landscape for people adjusting to life-changing spinal injuries. Redefining healthcare environments through patient-centred design, it offers a restorative, biodiverse haven for patients, families, and NHS staff - the antithesis of the clinical ward. Inspired by Sheffield’s wooded valleys and steelmaking heritage, the garden was first conceived as a gold medal-winning RHS Chelsea 2023 garden.
